Meet Hawk and Ava, the glamorous Greyhounds of Rita Wulke. Here is what she had to say about her dynamic duo:
"I am the proud owner of two adopted greyhounds. My boy, Hawk, is 7 and was a stakes racer at Gulf Greyhound for almost 3 years. He has been with us for nearly 3 years now.
His housemate, Ava, is 4 and was a champion "daisy picker." (She never made it to the track as she has a bit of ADD.) We have had her for almost 2 years.
Just want to share my beautiful pups. Greyhounds are often misunderstood as high energy pups with high exercise requirements. Nothing could be further from the truth. That is why they are called "45 mph couch potatoes."
