So excited to share this will all of our fans and followers! Our print partners at LIFE+DOG and FIDO Friendly are presenting the GREAT FOOD GIVEAWAY. During the next four weeks, through April 15, they are giving away more than 3,000 pounds of food to animals in need and $5,000 worth of prizes to lucky readers. And it couldn’t be easier to join in on the fun...just click the image below to get started. This contest puts volunteers and advocates in the driver's seat, the more people from each group that nominate, the more chances your favorite organization has to win!

The first half of the contest is run through a special website and each group's Facebook page. That’s where all the prizes are being given away! All you need to do is sign up with your e-mail address for their mailing list and then nominate your favorite animal welfare group. That’s it. (you’ll be asked to enter a phone number to verify your entry, just so they don’t get spammed with fake entries.) At the end of the contest, the group with the most nominations will win 1,000 pounds of food. They will randomly draw a name from the rest of the nominations and they will win 500 pounds of food! Where did all of this food come from? THE AMAZING FOLKS AT PETSMART!

On April 15, they will also draw the winners for the amazing prizes they've collected from their partners. Read all about them below!

THERE’S A SECOND PART OF THE CONTEST, TOO! It runs through Twitter… and is just as easy! All you need to do is tweet from your account your nomination for food! Fill in the blank to win: “@lifeanddog, I nominate ______ to win 800# of food! #GFG” Each week, they will randomly draw a group from the nominees to win 200 pounds. At the end of the contest, the group with the most nominations will win 800 pounds of food! That’s a total of 1600 pounds of food donated by our great friends at FROMM Foods and Natural Pawz.

Only two nominations per account, per day, they be validated. One per day from a nomination to @lifeanddog and one nomination to @fidofriendly. All retweets, by other users, will be counted. If you retweet a friends nomination, it will also count. Only one original nomination, and not a retweet, will enter you into the contest for prizes.

I appreciated the blog posting. I've been scouring the web for current information on this discussion as well as info on dog supplements. I am a veterinary technician and I'm quite often searching on how to improve my basic knowledge of dogs and puppies.
