Businesses and the public can donate outdated or broken e-clutter to benefit the homeless animals at the shelter.
Do something good for the environment and the homeless animals of West Houston by recycling unwanted electronics with Special Pals. Computers, keyboards, monitors, printers and ink cartridges are among the items that will be collected at the community event.
Local businesses are also encouraged to get involved and get rid of any unwanted electronics being kept in their offices or in storage. In addition to computers and servers, office equipment such as copiers, faxes and telephone systems will be accepted.
Other consumer electronics being accepted include game consoles, flat screen LCD televisions, cell phones, mp3 players and clock radios.
Those wishing to donate need only load up their items and visit the drop off location at Members Choice Credit Union on Saturday, August 4 from noon until 4:00 p.m. Even a truck full of e-clutter will be unloaded for you!
Special Pals is partnering with Green Arrow Recycling to collect the unwanted electronic equipment. Green Arrow works with reputable organizations to obtain parts from the electronics for recycling or scrapping, keeping usable materials and harmful chemicals out of our landfills.
