The Houston Dog Blog accepts products or services for review for placement on the blog. (For PR pitches, see below) If you would like to submit a product for review, we request an actual sample of the product. The HDB writes truthful, honest, and fully disclosed posts regarding the products that we receive. We reserve the right to NOT write about or return a product that is sent to us, but every effort is made to promote your product. Please keep in mind that every product review is 100% truthful and honest.
To submit a product for review, please send the product to: HOUSTON DOG BLOG, C/O Brett Chisholm Photography, 1304 Malone St, Houston TX 77007. Your product will be photographed in the style of our blog before reviewing. We will provide any promotional photos used on the Houston Dog Blog with an "As Seen on the Houston Dog Blog" stamp to you at no charge. Our absolute favorite products will receive the distinction of "Houston Dog Blog Approved". Please do not ask for this distinction. Contact us here with any questions.
Please send us your photos of your furry friends around town! We love reader submitted content, it is the backbone of the blog! While EVERY effort is made to include your photos, it is not always possible. Please continue to submit if your photo did not make it into the blog. Feel free to ask us for tips to make sure your photos are included!
By submitting your photo to the Houston Dog Blog, you are acknowledging that your image WILL be published online. The HDB reserves the right to publish your photo in any manner we see fit, and we also reserve the right to alter your photo to fit within our editorial guidelines. Event photos MUST BE SUBMITTED IN A TIMELY MANNER with names in order to be considered.
You are welcome to send any press releases and pitches to info@houstondogblog.com. If we feel it is something that needs to get to our readers, we will either publish your press release in complete form or contact you to write a story on the subject matter. Please include all pertinent photos and subject matter in your press release or cover letter. We reserve the right not to publish any release that is submitted.
Submit your event listing directly to the blog at info@houstondogblog.com! Please make sure that you include ALL details including cost of the event, location, dates and times, and any other promotional pieces that you can. If possible, please make sure that you submit a copy of the event invitation or any related photos.
If you are seeking an event sponsorship from the Houston Dog Blog, please submit a detailed proposal at least 6 weeks in advance of your event.
